UnderCurrents is back this weekend! A program series that looks at the new ideas and experiments that creatives are toying with, this fifth episode led by artist-researcher Tu Lang questions the production, bodies, emotions and consumption in our digital age and the accelerating technology.

In the multiple spaces of the Internet, the hybrid identities of participants mimic the situation where the design and display of social roles are performed in virtual and real settings. To shatter the boundaries of cyberspace and the fourth wall, this show portrays a group of users that masquerades through digital technology to become others in an imaginary situation. Here we are, theatre performers, acting out our desired avatar as a form of self-presentation. We are all LARPers in a fantasy world, but we crashed.
